Use the correct boxes

When packing, you should start by separating items so that you can use the right boxes. Put books together, pillows, clothes, and other items according to rooms and sizes. You should also properly label the boxes to ensure you know what is in each box. This will make it easy for you to unpack when you are in your new home. 

Before you pack fragile items, ensure that they are properly wrapped and protected to prevent breakages, especially if you are moving from one state to another. Even when using professional movers, you should supervise and ensure that everything is done according to your wishes. 

Put heavy items like books at the bottom and the lighter ones on top. You should also try and fill the gaps in the boxes so that all boxes do not have open spaces in them before you close them up.
